Tufts University’s Alumnae Lounge, a key venue within the Aidekman Arts Center, has long served as a hub for lectures, performances, and university events. To maintain its status as a premier event space, the university partnered with Pro AV Systems to upgrade its audio visual systems.
Prior to the upgrade, the Alumnae Lounge faced several technological limitations:
- Outdated projection system with insufficient brightness and clarity
- Limited audio coverage and inconsistent sound quality
- Lack of seamless integration between AV components
- The need for a more user-friendly and reliable AV system
Our Solution
Pro AV Systems developed a comprehensive upgrade plan to address these challenges, incorporating industry-leading AV solutions.
The installation of the high-brightness Panasonic 8,200 Lumens Laser projector significantly improved visual clarity, ensuring high-definition presentations and video playback even in well-lit conditions. The high-quality Da-Lite Motorized Projection Screen was added to enhance the viewing experience while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the space when not in use. To ensure superior sound quality, Shure wireless microphones and receivers were installed, allowing speakers and performers to move freely without compromising audio clarity. Lastly, strategically placed throughout the lounge, Sonance speakers provided even audio distribution, eliminating dead zones and ensuring clear sound for all attendees.
The installation process was carefully planned to minimize disruptions to university operations. Pro AV Systems worked closely with Tufts University to integrate the new technology seamlessly, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure while enhancing overall performance.
