Project Overview
When a local University reached out to us about issues in one of their modular classrooms, the challenge was clear: the original AV system was designed for active learning, but in reality, the space was mostly used for lectures, and it wasn’t working.
Despite having large displays at the front of the room, students sitting on the far sides and at the back struggle to clearly see the material being presented. Even after upgrading to the largest screens possible for the space, the visuals just weren’t cutting it. That’s where we came in.
Our Solution
At Pro AV Systems, our engineering team worked closely with the school to evaluate how the space was truly being used. While the initial setup supported collaborative group work, in practice, instructors were using the room more for traditional plenary lectures, which called for a different display strategy.
Sony Display Panels
To improve sightlines and ensure content clarity throughout the room, we strategically hung five Sony professional displays from the ceiling and placed them in the middle of the seating space. These displays ensure that every student, no matter where they’re sitting, has a clear view of the content being shared.
Chief Mounts
We used Chief mounting solutions for precise placement and clean installation, optimizing viewing angles without disrupting the flexibility of the modular space. These mounts also allow for future adjustments as classroom needs evolve.
