The school district in Middleborough, MA, dedicated $100 million to rebuild its high school with the noble purpose of engaging each student with an innovative, 21st-century learning experience. As part of its 165,000 square foot transformation, Middleborough High School wanted to update its auditorium to help fulfill that purpose.
Auditoriums are where the community can come together for shared activities. The school envisioned a space that would fulfill that purpose and truly embody its culture. To exceed these goals, the school needed to provide a sound system that could keep up with the diverse activities planned for this space.
Middleborough High School’s Coordinator of District Technology, Sean Siciliano, wanted their auditorium to be functional for not only students and teachers, but also community members. It would be a flexible venue designed for plays, concerts, assemblies, town hall meetings, and student-supported AV activities alike.
“We wanted to make this a spot where kids could go to get the best equipment, be in a real-life training situation where if they left this high school or go out in the field, this is real-life skills and real things they will see when they get out in the world,” Siciliano explained.
Bose Professional enlisted Pro AV Systems along with 3Si and Levangie Electric to design, develop, and install a state-of-the-art sound system that would deliver superior quality and clarity to every attendee in the auditorium.
- Full digital audio mixer, complete with Dante technology
- Ultimate communication capabilities for seamless event execution
- Concert-quality sound with a high level of scalability and configurability
Being the largest, most technologically advanced, and centrally located venue in town, the school now invites the community to take part in its school functions and can host external events, like the town hall meeting.
