As a result, the school and its athletes faced limited indoor training facilities capable of supporting year-round development. The existing field house, a long-standing staple on campus, could no longer keep pace with the evolving demands of modern athletics or the expectations of prospective recruits.
Building a new indoor athletics complex would relieve pressure on the school’s aging facility while playing a strategic role in athlete development and recruiting competitiveness. The renowned college turned to Pro AV Systems to outfit its newly constructed facility with an audio and video solution designed to elevate the overall experience, support dynamic athletic programming, and deliver reliable, high-performance technology throughout the space.
Our Solution
We outfitted the complex with an integrated AV infrastructure tailored to meet the unique demands of athletics, events, and engagement.
JBL Professional loudspeakers are strategically suspended throughout the Field House, delivering consistent, full-range sound. Paired with a Shure wireless microphone system, the solution ensures every announcement, playlist, and event reaches its audience with clarity and impact.
A centralized Crestron touchscreen provides simple, streamlined control for staff, while localized wall controls allow for quick adjustments when needed, empowering users to focus on the experience, not the technology.
Inclusivity was thoughtfully incorporated into the system through a Williams Sound assistive listening system, ensuring every member of the community can fully engage with events across the complex.
In shared spaces such as the lobby and batting cages, SoundTube pendant speakers provide consistent background music and paging, while a Clock Audio desktop paging solution enables staff to communicate clearly across the entire complex. Powered by Lab Gruppen amplification, the system intelligently prioritizes announcements while maintaining a comfortable atmosphere, complete with localized “Do Not Disturb” options for focused training areas.
Within the reception area and meeting spaces, Sharp commercial displays were integrated alongside simplified AV connectivity to support collaboration and day-to-day operations. This streamlined technology approach ensures that communication remains clear, effective, and accessible without added complexity.
