Our Client
When the team at Frontier Regional Elementary realized their café’s AV system was due for an upgrade, they wanted a partner who could deliver modern capabilities without scrapping all the equipment they already had. That’s where Pro AV Systems came in.
Project Overview
The school had invested in some solid components over the years, like their Peavey mixing console, choir microphones, and a rear projector wall mount. Throwing those out just didn’t make sense. Instead, we designed an upgraded AV solution that blended the best of their existing gear with carefully selected new components.
This approach not only saved money, it also reduced waste, a win for both the school and the budget.
Our Solution
At the heart of the new system is a rear-projection setup that makes presentations, performances, and assemblies look sharp and professional. To make sure the system works for every user, we built in two modes:
- Simplified User Mode: Perfect for day-to-day use by staff who just want to press a button and get things rolling.
- Advanced Production Mode: Designed for events that require a little more technical control, giving staff or volunteers access to advanced mixing and adjustments.
Challenges
One of the biggest challenges of mixing old and new gear is making sure it all plays nicely together. That’s where our engineers shine. They carefully tested every connection between the legacy equipment and the new system before installation day, so the school didn’t have to worry about compatibility issues. The end result? A seamless, fully integrated setup that feels like it was all built at once.
Results
By reusing the rear projector wall mount, Peavey mixer, and choir microphones, we kept costs down while still delivering a modernized AV system with improved functionality. The café now has a reliable setup that supports both casual use and high-end production, giving Frontier Regional Elementary a flexible solution that will serve them for years to come.
At Pro AV Systems, we know that upgrading doesn’t always mean starting from scratch. Sometimes the smartest move is integrating what you already have with what you really need, and making sure it all works together flawlessly.
