A dynamic, growing, multigenerational house of worship is situated among the scenic beauty of the Wachusett Mountain area, serving the local community and surrounding areas of Central Massachusetts. As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the worship experience, the ministry partnered with Pro AV Systems to upgrade the sanctuary’s audio system. The goal was to deliver clear, consistent sound throughout the space while ensuring both spoken word and music are heard with improved intelligibility and coverage.
Our Solution
Pro AV Systems delivered a comprehensive, multi-phase upgrade to the sanctuary’s audio system, improving clarity, flexibility, and overall reliability.
The project began with a transition from the existing analog system to a modern digital audio platform. A new Allen & Heath mixing console and GX-series digital snake were installed, creating a streamlined and scalable foundation for the system. Additional upgrades included new wall plates, category cabling, and sequenced power distribution to help ensure clean signal flow, simplified operation, and dependable system startup and shutdown.
A key component of the project was the complete replacement of the loudspeaker system. The existing speakers, amplifiers, and processing equipment were removed and replaced with self-powered, digitally steerable array systems, along with new 18” subwoofers and a stage monitor. This modern approach eliminated the need for external amplifiers while delivering more even sound coverage, clearer speech, and consistent audio throughout the sanctuary. Integrated control and remote power sequencing further improved system performance and ease of use.
To support the worship team, Pro AV Systems also upgraded the sanctuary’s wireless and monitoring capabilities. This included a new Shure multi-channel in-ear monitoring system and SLX-D wireless microphone system along with strategically placed hanging microphones. Together, these enhancements provide greater mobility on stage for pastors and performers, along with high-quality audio capture for both in-person and streamed services.
