For years, this regional high school on Cape Cod has stood as a pillar of its community. But as education shifted into a digital-first era, the school’s technology began to show its age.
With campus expansions underway, the school saw an opportunity to rethink its AV infrastructure. Rather than simple upgrades, the goal was a fully integrated system that could support modern instruction, creative collaboration, and immersive learning. The vision included a professional-grade TV studio, a cinema-quality auditorium, and specialized learning spaces capable of broadcasting high-definition demonstrations in real time.
Pro AV Systems was brought in to implement a future-ready digital infrastructure, transforming these learning spaces into dynamic environments where students can create, perform, and innovate from day one.
Our Solution
Our team executed a multi-phase installation across the campus, carefully tailoring each solution to the unique learning needs of its departments and spaces.
The Media & Performance Hub
TV Studio: At the heart of the project is a professional-grade broadcast studio built around the TriCaster system, an all-in-one production platform often referred to as a “studio in a box.”
The studio includes three JVC 4K camcorders, Ikan teleprompters and tripods, and a four-display production booth designed to allow up to eight students to collaborate on live broadcasts simultaneously. A suite of Shure handheld microphones and body packs ensures broadcast-quality audio for every production.
Auditorium: To bring visual impact to the school’s largest venue, we installed a powerful Epson 13,000-lumen laser projector capable of delivering vivid, cinematic-quality imagery.
Three Lumens Integration PTZ cameras, positioned at the balcony, stage left, and stage right, capture performances and presentations from multiple angles for recording and live streaming. The audio infrastructure includes 12 channels of Shure wireless microphones and Dante-enabled wall jacks, allowing seamless integration with the auditorium’s mixing system.
Black Box Theater: Designed as a flexible, experimental performance space, the Black Box Theater now features an Epson 7000-lumen laser projector and a versatile Shure wireless microphone system that supports both handheld and lavalier configurations.
Everything is controlled through a streamlined Crestron touch panel, giving instructors and students intuitive control over the entire system.
Specialized Learning Spaces
Culinary Arts Lab: To enhance hands-on instruction, we installed a Vaddio ZoomShot ceiling-mounted camera with motorized zoom capabilities. Instructors can now focus the camera on any countertop demonstration and broadcast it directly to a 65-inch Samsung display, ensuring every student has a clear view of the lesson.
Research Center: This collaborative learning space was outfitted with an Epson 7000-lumen laser projector and a dual-zone JBL speaker system. Flush-mounted in-ceiling speakers provide even sound distribution while maintaining a clean architectural aesthetic.
Gallery Lobby: Once a simple gathering space, the Gallery Lobby has been reimagined as a multi-purpose presentation hub. It now features an Epson 13,000-lumen projector, alongside a dedicated 65-inch LCD display for digital signage.
Both systems are controlled through an intuitive Crestron interface, allowing staff to easily switch between presentations, announcements, and events.
Results
The result is a campus where technology does more than exist; it empowers. Performance spaces, including the Black Box Theater and Auditorium, are seamlessly integrated with the TV Studio’s TriCaster system, allowing live events to be instantly recorded, edited, or streamed.
This connection turns the entire campus into a live production environment, giving students hands-on experience with real-world broadcasting and content creation. From the Gallery Lobby’s digital signage to the Culinary Arts department’s overhead demonstrations, the school’s new AV ecosystem has transformed the campus into a hub of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
