Bedford’s Old Town Hall is a busy community space, hosting everything from public meetings to special events. To keep up with the growing demand for reliable and flexible technology, the town partnered with Pro AV Systems to design and install a complete audio visual solution.
Challenges
The town needed an AV system that could handle a wide range of uses, presentations, local events, and even external Cable TV broadcasts. It had to be easy to operate, versatile enough for different setups, and discreet enough to fit the multipurpose space without distraction.
Our Solution
Pro AV Systems delivered a future-ready AV package built around the Epson EB-PU1006 laser projector, mounted on the rear wall for optimal viewing angles and a clean room design. Paired with a custom Draper motorized projection screen, the system delivers bright, high-resolution visuals at the touch of a button. When not in use, the screen retracts seamlessly to keep the space open and uncluttered.
To complement the visuals, we installed a Bose stereo speaker system to provide clear, even sound throughout the hall. Whether the room is being used for a small meeting or a large community event, audio remains consistent and intelligible.
At the center of it all is a fully equipped advanced lectern. More than just a podium, it’s a control hub with built-in AV connectivity and intuitive system management. Presenters can plug in laptops or media devices and run everything directly from the lectern, no complicated setup required.
This installation wasn’t just about presentations, it was about making the Old Town Hall ready for multiple scenarios. The system is designed to support both live AV production and external Cable TV broadcast requirements, giving the town maximum flexibility for events of all sizes.
