For a Massachusetts-based emergency communications facility, reliable training room AV systems play a critical role in preparing employees for real-world emergency scenarios. As the department expanded into a new facility within the state, they wanted to maintain consistency with the training rooms at their existing location.
The goal was simple but important. The department wanted to replicate the same reliable, easy-to-use AV environments personnel already knew and trusted. This approach would allow teams to transition seamlessly between locations without learning new systems or workflows.
To achieve this goal, the department partnered with Pro AV Systems to design and implement AV presentation systems for two new training spaces. Each room matched the functionality and user experience of the existing training rooms.
Our Solution
To support the client’s goals, Pro AV Systems installed two AV solutions tailored to the size and function of each training room while maintaining a consistent look, feel, and user experience across both spaces.
In the larger training room, an Epson ceiling-mounted laser projector and in-ceiling electric screen deliver bright, clear visuals for full-class instruction. Additionally, dual HDMI input locations at the front of the room allow users to connect both a dedicated local computer and external devices with ease. Six in-ceiling Bose speakers provide even audio coverage throughout the space, supporting clear playback of training content.

In the smaller training room, an 85-inch commercial display delivers high-quality visuals suited for more focused sessions. Similarly, dual HDMI inputs at the front and side walls offer flexibility for different presentation setups. Four in-ceiling Bose speakers provide balanced audio coverage throughout the space.
Extron systems power both rooms. Each setup includes a power injector, amplifier, and a 7-inch touch panel interface. The control system was designed with simplicity in mind. Users can power the system on, select sources, and adjust volume through an intuitive interface. The system also wakes automatically when in use. This helps reduce setup time and makes operation effortless.
To maintain consistency with the existing location, each room includes a furniture-style AV rack with a clean, professional finish. In addition, integrated cable management and USB-C connectivity support modern devices.
Results
With the new training rooms in place, the facility now operates as a seamless extension of its existing training environment. As a result of the standardized design, team members can walk into either facility and operate the system confidently without additional training or setup.
The upgraded AV systems provide clear visuals, consistent audio coverage, and flexible connectivity. These features support a wide range of training scenarios. Whether users rely on the in-room computer or connect external laptops, they can get started quickly and focus on what matters most: effective training.
