New Amazon Style Store Merges in Person Shopping with Online Convenience

Everyone’s favorite online shopping hub is opening a brand-new store, dubbed Amazon Style, with a very different approach to your average retail experience. Set to debut in Los Angeles, at The Americana at Brand shopping destination, it will be the first physical clothing store for Amazon.

With convenience and personalization being a focus of the store, customers will be able to walk in and browse hundreds of items on display. Once they identify an item they like, they can simply scan a QR code using the Amazon Shopping App to send their chosen items to a fitting room or to a front counter for purchase. The app also allows them to rate the item and to see more sizes and options as well as other styles they may be interested in based on those already selected.

When they have finished browsing, the app directs them to their very own fitting room where the requested items are already waiting for them along with additional items that are chosen based on their preferences. Once inside the fitting room, a personalized touchscreen allows them to continue shopping, to rate items, receive more style suggestions and to request more sizes or styles to be delivered to them while they are trying on their items.

For an even more tailored experience, the app will identify more targeted selections once you enter information pertaining to your preferred style and fit. The app will also pinpoint deals based on your preferences and alert you that your favorite jeans are on sale this week. Plus, when you find items on amazon.com while not in the store, you can request delivery to Amazon Style so you can try them on in a fitting room.

The new format allows for many more options to be displayed than in a traditional retail store with hundreds of brands and thousands of styles on site and offers convenient time savings since customers do not need to search for the correct color or size themselves. Amazon Style is expected to open its doors to the public later this year.
